My NEW Pixel Glasses

It all started a 2 weeks ago when i was wondering around the city on a Friday night when i +1 to my glasses collection. Usually I wouldn't make such a big deal out of glasses since i have so many, but these r realy cool!

I first saw these at the night markets in Chinatown. I couldn't help but notice their unique K-Pop style and appeal... and somehow they seemed kind of familiar (we'll get to that later). I was with a friend, so it was kinda akward when i started gwaking at them when they were still like 5m away. LOL (hopefully no one else noticed). I had to try them on and I wasn't going to leave without a pair for myself.

First things first, I had to ask about the price. The girl said $15 each, so i was kinda like, I could go on ebay and probably get them for cheaper (cheap bas***d.. i know). Anyhow, since i saw them i might as well try them on for size and also to see if they suited me (sif they wouldnt LOL). They came in so many colours and also in matt or shiny finish. Man, I must'v spent like 20min standing there choosing. By the end i think i tried on almost every pair. As I was doing so, and the gril was helping me and reccomending stuff, she said i can give u 2 for $25 if you like. That was better! $12.50, better than $15. So, i ended up with 2 pairs, one with green arms and one with yellow. Oh yer, also forgot to mention these come in both reading and sunnies. My green ones have the sun tint, whilst the yellow is clear.

She also gave me a cleaning cloth for them and also a glasses bag for ONE pair... I only checked this after i bought them as was walking away and i looked in the bag and i was kinda like; why is there only one? But then my friend said thats what she offered you. Um.... only 1 bag for 2 pairs hu?!... o.o Oh well, i have extra bags at home anyway.
So, these are great glasses and i would reccomend anybody to get them! :)

Oh yes, how i said they looked familiar... well turns out that Mir from MBLAQ (woooo!) had worn them for a variety show interview the week earlier! So yer, i knew they were "IN".

Anyhow, if you want a pair, i'd reccomend you going down to the Chinatown markets one weekend to try and track youself down a pair. You WON'T be dissapointed! I also tried to find them on eBay to check the price and they are actually cheaper from the markets! Look up "pixel glasses" on eBay to look, but they all come from the US or the UK and the colour combinations are NOT as nice as the ones in the market.

Also, here's a link to the original designer Dzmitry Samal, who has some really great designs. I'm sure Samal Design will be making a huge appearance in the 2012 fashion scene. Just waiting for Gaga to give it some promo :)

The tragic blonde -.- From Blonde to SILVER

Regrowth and brassiness is what us peroxide blondes fear the most and me unlike any other is one of them. But luckily there are some little tricks that can reverse the process.

Silver Hair!!
- TONING -
So apparently these things work but as i'v never been blonde b4 i was kinda sceptical (and because they are really expensive). But luckly i found one at Chemist warehouse from Schwarzkopf called Live Colour - Silver Toner, which i have to say was a bargain at $3.99. And.. IT ACTUALLY WORKS!

By the packing being called "Silver" Toner, i didn't actually think it was gonna turn it silver. Most reviews said it worked but only a little bit but for some reason it worked great on mine.

Initially the instructions said to only leave it in for approximatey 20 min (for bleached or highlighted hair) but me... being me, i left it in for a good 40. And after i washed it out.... my hair was literally light purple.... But don't worry, because as your hair dries, the purple fades also. Oh yes, whilst applying the toner rememebr to massage at the end to even out the colour... I forgot (*blonde moment) and so i ended up with these kind of blonde streaks which you can tell in flash photos.

None the less, the colour turned out great but now i don't want to wash my hair caus the colour will fade. LOL. If only it weren't a semipermable. Ahh... First world travesties :L

Going Blonde - Taking the Plunge

Every so often I wondered what it'd feel like if i were blonde and over the past 5 years everytime I went to have my hair recoloured, i would question if this was the time i would go completely platinum?

So, on Friday the 13th, I FINALLY took the (somewhat random) plunge and went BLONDE! I was only meant to go out and have lunch with the family, and ended up in a salon getting a bleach job! I thought, hey; i have a haircut that im pretty happy with so why not!?

I went to a salon in Burwood that my family have known for more than a decade . I trusted them enough to handle my hair.

And so it began. 4pm apt.. (which started at almost 5).
>>>First coat of bleach turned my hair into a mix of black roots, yellow hair with red tips (red because of my previous hair colour that hadn't grown out yet).

Second time, it was alot better, my hair went completely blonde, but still very very very yellow! And also by this stage, i could feel that the quality of my hair had almost completely gone into the hay like stage. Strangely enough, I didn't feel any burning sensation on my scalp or anywhere on my head. I know that people say it kills to have it done over and over, but i didnt seem to feel anything.

<<< At this stage, I was kind of scared of the result, my hair was so, so damaged and felt nothing like the healthy hair i had a few hours earler. It felt like if i were to tug on it a little, a chunk of hair was going to fall out (however, it held up really well - not bald yet!). I was also kind of worried if this was going to be the final colour.

Anyhow, after drying for a bit and letting my hair have a quick break, the hairdresser asked if i wanted to recolour it to ba an ash blonde. I have to admit, i wasnt really sure about it at first becasue the sample looked alot darker then a platinum blonde, however i agreed to it anyway since i really didnt want fluro-yellow hair!

So again, I coloured again. Somehow, i find hair colour to burn more than the bleach, not that i had much feeling there anyway. 30min later, and it was complete. The resulting colour was great! better than what i had expected!

Apparently, this result was meant to take at least 5hrs but she managed to do it in roughly 1.5hrs. The salon had closed at 6pm, and i was still there a 6.30! By the styling stage, i was the only one left in the salon and had 3 hair dressers working on me (Haha; felt important xD).

All up, with the bleach and the colour; it cost $100 all up to have it done. And, i love the result. SO, now i know. I can really pull off blonde!! xD

Now, i can finally say "sorry, blonde moment" Haha.
