Not too long ago (it was less than a months notice), YGE announced that they will be holding an audition for singers in Sydney. And, like many other kpop fans in Sydney, I wanted to do this audition. People who know kpop would know YGE is one of the three"kings" of the South Korean entainment industry. Their label includes international stars including BIGBANG (who won Best Intl' Act in the 2011 Brit Awards), 2NE1 (who are making it BIG in the US, UK, Japan as well as Sth Kr), Gummy and se7en to name a few. So, as you can probably see, this audition coming to Sydney IS a pretty BIG deal...
Ok, i'm a beginner. Have no experience whatsoever in auditions, and have no clue what goes on behind these doors. And yes... i was too chicken to do the JYP aauditions last year, i keep saying i had HSC on as my excuse. Anyway, after a long week of thinking and rethinking (and somewhat alot of pressure from my friends...[you know who you are], I finally registered for the YG entertainment Auditions in Sydney taking place this Saturday.
Whilst i was thinking about this audition, i dug into all my sources (mostly You Tube and blogs) to try and find some sort of review on what actually happens at these auditions. Sadly, i could NOT find one! SO hopefully this post will be a first. I know theres heaps on the JYP auditions, but how come i can't seem to find any on the YG ones?? None the less, i stared hypothesing of "what might be"...
It was a pretty simple process tbh, just fill in the from provided by YG and email a copy to JKent. >>>>>>>>>Everything you need can be found here, note that this link will automatically direct you to the Korean site, just click on the Australia tab on the side (if you are interested that is).
So far, i havn't yet recieved a confirmation email yet... so if they dont, i guess i'll have to call up tomorrow, before Easter Holidays.
Hopefully everything goes well. I'll keep blogging to keep you up to date with my YG Audition Experience!!
