The Food Reviews of LAST WEEK + other Random Stuff

Boring Times on the long trip home from uni -  Haha.

Last week was kind of hectic... i mean, all university students should know. Especially with mid-term break coming up in 3 days time!! Cannot wait! But even then, i managed to fit in a few good restaurants here and there. (i go to Macquarie University btw)

MQ uni! i <3 it there :) Such great atmosphere

So first on my hitlist of Restaurants to visit is SAKURA JAPANESE RESTAURANT in Ashfield.
This restaurant brings me back to the days of high school, were we would visit every single week. We loved it there. Such kind staff and some really good Japanese food (much better in comparison to some of the bigger named jap rests that iv visited). They range from Sushi to Bentos, side dishes, mains, udon and hotpot.

Ten Don (Tempura and rice) with Miso Soup + Japanese Lemonade (MY FAV)
$13.80

Head to http://www.isakura.com.au/  to have a look at their menu and/or to make a booking (its also a good idea to book early if you are going in a large group. If you are ever in/or around the inner west area, i would highly reccoment you going there.

Next up is The Bagel House - MQ centre
Ok, so the people who know me would know i would'ne usually go for a burger as my number one choice of meal. But in this case, i couldnt resist. This was my first time going to Bagel House so i was a little bit scepticle spending soo much money on a single burger and fries.... (like all asians would.. cheap bastards LOL). Luckily, I was indeed happily suprised, very much worth the money i paid for it. The flame grilled burger came served on a hot plate and I have to say, was one of the best burgers i have tasted so far.

Flame Grilled Beef Burger with Curly Fries
$15.80

Bagel House is located on the top floor of Macquare Centre, open for bothe lunch and dinner (i think) i havnt really looked it up xD... Like i say;  Google it! Haha.

And Finally (for this post) is...., ZenQ. Not so uncommon for us asians to indulge themselves in something sweet every now and again (me more than others :D ). However, this was my first time at ZenQ. I've always wanted to try their Honey Toast... but unfortunately becasue of the massize beef burger i had earlier, i couldnt pack it in :( ..... until next time -.-. Instead, me and my friends opted for the Mango ice dessert, essentially shaved ice with mango syrup, mango jelly, fresh mango and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Judging by the pictures on the menu, the actual size of the dishes were way, way bigger then expected. We ended we sharing them.

Mango Shaved Ice
$8.80

Head to http://www.zenqdesserts.com.au/ to have a glance at their Yummy menu. I really hope to go and try out their Honey Toast soon! If anyone goes, please give me a head up for what i'm in for :)

Ok, all for now. Time for bed since I have a bio assignment to do tomorrow :(
Must say to myself "Easter Break Soon!... Easter Break Soon!.... Easter Break Soon!!!"
Hahah! Enjoy reading!
